WAVEN always looks for the least expensive method that can honestly answer your question. Sometimes that is imagery that already exists. Sometimes it is one person walking to the site. The drone is one option among many, never the default.
From anywhere, to anywhere
The remote report works for any place on earth that imagery and records already cover, which is most of it. Field missions depend on finding a verified operator nearby, and are agreed case by case.
The arcs are example routes, not live missions: WAVEN has no operator network yet, and this page will never pretend otherwise.

WAVEN picks the cheapest one that can honestly answer your question. The figures below are what the ACQUISITION typically costs, not the price of a WAVEN mission: field work is quoted once a local operator confirms. The remote report, which needs nobody on site, is 149 EUR.

Questions people actually ask
- Do I need a drone to check a roof?
- Often not. If the question is whether a roof is damaged, WAVEN first checks imagery that already exists, then a ground capture, and only then a drone. A drone is required when the roof plane itself must be seen, because nobody standing on the ground can see it. WAVEN states which of these applies before you pay anything.
- What is the cheapest way to inspect a property from abroad?
- Existing satellite and aerial imagery costs nothing to check and answers questions about surroundings, access and footprint in minutes. A local photographer, from around 90 euros, answers questions about visible condition. Only questions about the roof, height, or exact dimensions justify a drone or a survey.
- What does WAVEN actually sell?
- Access to the real world, not drone flights. You describe the outcome you need. WAVEN works out what information that requires, ranks every acquisition method by cost, rejects the ones that cannot honestly answer, and recommends the cheapest valid one. The drone is one option among six.
- Can measurements be taken from photos?
- Only within limits. Photos and drone imagery give indicative and detailed views, but dimensions with a stated tolerance need a LiDAR or photogrammetry survey. WAVEN will not present a photo set as a measurement, and it says so when the request needs survey-grade precision.
- How much does a WAVEN mission cost?
- Existing data ranges from free to 40 euros, a local photographer from 90 to 260, a live local presence from 120 to 320, a 360 capture from 180 to 450, a drone capture from 250 to 700, and a LiDAR survey from 650 to 2400 euros. These are indicative ranges, confirmed only when an operator accepts the mission.
